Kathy Hope, President
Kathy has been a NAWIC member since 2013 and was elected to the Board for this term as President. Kathy is our past Vice President and Past Treasurer for NAWIC. Kathy has over 18 years experience in financials and has been in the construction industry since 2006 working for an architectural firm. She joined her husbands business, M & K Heating & Cooling Services, in 2009 and has been growing the business every year. Kathy has been in Las Vegas since 1991. She grew up in South Texas and has been married to her husband Mike for 38 years, raising 3 children and spoiling 9 grandchildren. In her spare time Kathy loves to ride motorcycles and sewing.
Julie has been a member of NAWIC since March of 2013 and immediately joined the Board as a Director. Julie is the Past President of our Chapter and is now the Regional Fund Trustee. Julie is employed with Westcor Companies as their Controller. and brings 24 years of construction industry experience to the organization. Julie enjoys spending time with her family and traveling as much as possible.
Adriane Massa, Vice President
Adriane originally joined NAWIC in 1988 and has recently re-committed to the organization. She has stepped up to be Vice President for this year. She has been employed at Assurance Ltd since 1989, working with contractors on both their insurance and bond needs. She is a member of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers as well as the local surety organization. Adriane has served in various roles in the past and is currently working on both the Membership and Education committee. She is a native to Las Vegas and enjoys the support, learning opportunities and connections with other women that work in various roles in the construction industry.
Karen has been a member of NAWIC since 2015. She has been on the Board since day one. Karen has been elected as Treasurer for this term. She was a Director in the past. She is an accounting assistant for Westcor Companies. Karen is honored to be part of NAWIC and has been a Director on the Board. She has a strong desire to do all she can and learn all she can while serving as a Board member. Karen believes she’ll become more confident, as well as, knowledgeable by taking on this position. She’ll do her best and be available to do whatever is needed.
Charlie has been a member of NAWIC since 2016 and was elected to the Board for this term as Corresponding Secretary. Charlie brings 28 years of experience in the construction and real estate industry. She is a licensed realtor since 2001 of Commercial & Residential Real Estate, a Property Manager, and is also the Director of Business Development for Dri Tech Corp. She serves on various committees in several organizations throughout the community. Charlie enjoys helping others, spending time with her family, enjoys all types of sports and writes music.
Virginia Fletes, Recording Secretary
Virginia Fletes works as a tax supervisor for CliftonLaarsonAllen LLP Las Vegas office since 2014 and has over 20 years in Public Accounting experience. She is from California and graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She became a member of NAWIC, Las Vegas Chapter in December, 2015. Virginia is our Past Treasurer on the Board. She now sits on the Board as Recording Secretary.
She has been involved in construction, real estate and service industries throughout her career. Virginia has experience in both financial accounting and tax preparation services for businesses, individuals and trusts. She is licensed as CPA in California, Nevada and Hawaii.
Audrey is excited to be a Director this year and looks forward to supporting the chapter with lots of ideas. She is a Realtor with Signature Real Estate Group. She is on a crusade to turn renters into home owners . There are some renters who have not yet purchased a home because they are uncomfortable taking on the obligation of a mortgage.
She was a Director last year. Audrey is experienced in teaching Signature agents various real estate platforms that they need for a high level of proficiency, in order to be successful. She believes her opinion and feedback as a teacher is valuable information to the owners of Signature Real Estate Group.
Even though she has been a member for only a few years, Audrey has many years of experience as a business owner and entrepreneur. She feels free and available to be there for her NAWIC sisters and looks forward to bonding with all of them, sharing her recent life stories.
Gerri has been a NAWIC NV member since 2014. She works for MGM Resorts International Design as the Executive Director of Diversity and Contracts Administration. She has been in this role for 12 years. Gerri has extensive experience as the head of the contracts department, responsible for the management, preparation and negotiation of all construction and design contracts for capital improvement projects.
Gerri has also served on the board of the NV Chapter of the National Association of Minority Contractors –9 years (NAMC NV). She served on the Green Valley Highlands HAO board of directors between 2006-2010 ( Henderson, NV). She has also served on the board of the IL Chapter of the National Association of Minority Architects for 6 years in the 80’s and 90s’ (NOMA, Chicago, IL) Last, but not least, she served on the board of directors for the Kennedy Jordan Manor Senior Housing Development group for the Sheldon Heights Church of Christ 3 years 2000-2003 (KJM, Chicago, IL)
Gerri is an active, committed member of this NAWIC chapter. Her passion towards the built environment began in high school and her career long commitment ( 30 years) to the development and advancement of women in design and construction. She pledges her service, time, talent and leadership skills to furthering the cause of NAWIC.
Megan joined NAWIC in 2013. She is the owner of Solar LED Safety Products. Megan has been elected as a Director for this term.
She has served as the Speaker Scheduler for NAWIC from 2015 – 2018. She also served as WIC Week Chair 2015 – 2019. Not only that, she also has been the main person to set up the audio visual for our NAWIC monthly meetings since 2016.
Megan has been involved with construction in Las Vegas since 2003. She comes from a trade school background and believes she can encourage other ladies to become a part of NAWIC with boots on the ground.
Megan enjoys biking, gardening, herbology, walking her dogs, and riding her Canam
Lisa joined NAWIC in 2018. She is the President-Principal of Trinity Land Surveying, Inc. WBE/WOSB Certified.
Over the years she has worked for some prominent general contractors in Las Vegas. She has over 18 years of business management and construction project management experience. Her experience has been an invaluable asset to the opening and continued success of TLS. Since its inception in 2012, Lisa has been the driving force behind TLS and is responsible for the day to day operations.
TLS is signatory to the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 12 (IUOE) and Lisa holds memberships with the Nevada Contractors Association (NCA); including the NCA Diversity Committee. She is a member of the National Association of Woman is Construction (NAWIC) where she sits on the Board of Directors and Membership Committee. Most recently TLS was award with the NCA Diverse Professional Service Firm of the Year award for 2019. TLS is certified with the National Woman’s Business Council (WBENC) as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) and Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB). In her spare time, she is very active in her church and serves on its Board of Directors.
