Adriane Massa, President

Adriane rejoined the Las Vegas Chapter in 2014. As a prior member,  she understands the importance of NAWIC.
For the past 30 years she has worked for Assurance Ltd, which is an insurance agency.  She works in the construction department, which provides   insurance and bonds for contractors.
Adriane has been a board member of the Las Vegas Chapter serving as vice president, the scholarship chairwoman, the corresponding secretary, the recording secretary, and a member of the audit  committee.   She also serves on the board of the Nevada Surety and Fidelity Association, and is a member of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers.
As an active member of NAWIC,  she regularly attends board meetings, general meetings and community events.    Adriane values the educational experiences and the learning opportunities that NAWIC has to offer.  She has a good understanding of the overall workings of NAWIC and how various committees function.  She is looking forward to the opportunity to serve the chapter, its members, and work with the regional chairwomen.
Adriane enjoys gardening, reading, swimming, walking and boxing classes.   She loves to spend time with family and friends and travel to new places.

Kathy Hope, Immediate Past President 

Kathy has been a NAWIC member since 2013 and was elected to the Board for this term as Immediate Past President.  Kathy is our past President, Vice President and Past Treasurer for NAWIC. Kathy has over 19 years of  experience in finance and has been in the construction industry since 2006, working for an architectural firm.  She joined her husband’s business, M & K Heating & Cooling Services, in 2009 and has been growing the business every year. Kathy has been in Las Vegas since 1991.  She grew up in South Texas and has been married to her husband Mike for 38 years, raising 3 children and spoiling 9 grandchildren.  In her spare time Kathy loves to ride motorcycles and sew.

Julie Barraza , Treasurer

Julie Barraza has worked in the construction industry for 29 years.  Julie started in the pool business as a coordinator facilitating all aspects of building a pool.  She would schedule the excavation as well as all the phases after.  She also started designing and preparing plan for permitting.  Realizing how much she enjoyed it, she obtained a business license and worked for a couple pool companies from home getting them ready to submit for permits.
After leaving the pool business, she went into the electrical field and worked as a clerk assembling electrical packages within the software that went out to the warehouse to get ready for the field.  These packages consisted of electrical switches, plates, recess cans, wiring, etc.  Within a short period, Julie went on to become the assistant to the controller and learned the accounting side.  Three years later, she took over the position as controller. For the last 15 years, Julie has been working for Westcor Companies as Controller. She manages the Accounting Department including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, produces Financials and day-to-day operations.
In March 2013, she became involved in NAWIC. Immediately after joining, she became a director on the board.  She enjoyed it so much that the following year, she became the Recording Secretary and then the Vice President.  Shortly after being elected as the Vice President, the President resigned and Julie took over the vacated Presidency.  She was president for almost 3 years and continues to participate on the board as Treasurer for the 2020-2021 term.  She has also been very involved in the committees.  Along with NAWIC, she is the current President of the Las Vegas Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) chapter and does their yearly fundraiser as well.  She loves being involved and meeting new people. Julie is married to her best friend and has two children along with two stepchildren and two grandchildren.  In her spare time, she enjoys camping, and spending time with her husband.

Gerri Harris, Vice President

Gerri has been a NAWIC NV member since 2014. This year she stepped up to be our Vice President! She worked for MGM Resorts International Design as the Executive Director of Diversity and Contracts Administration.  Gerri has extensive experience as the head of the contracts department, responsible for the management, preparation and negotiation of all construction and design contracts for capital improvement projects.
Gerri has also served on the board of the NV Chapter of the National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC NV) for 9 years. She served on the Green Valley Highlands HOA board of directors between 2006-2010 (Henderson, NV). She has also served on the board of the Illinois Chapter of the National Association of Minority Architects for 6 years in the 80’s and 90s’ (NOMA, Chicago, IL) Last, but not least, she served on the board of directors for the Kennedy Jordan Manor Senior Housing Development group for the Sheldon Heights Church of Christ in Chicago Illinois for 3 years 2000-2003.
Gerri is an active, committed member of this NAWIC chapter. Her passion for the built environment began in high school and has continued throughout her 30-year long career in her commitment to the development and advancement of women in design and construction. She pledges her service, time, talent, and leadership skills to further the cause of NAWIC.

Virginia Fletes, Corresponding Secretary

Virginia has been a member of NAWIC since November of 2015.
She works at Clifton Larson Allen, LP as a tax accountant and provides consulting services in industries such as construction, real estate and in professional services. She is responsible for all aspects of client services including tax compliance, tax planning and advisory services.  She looks for strategies and opportunities to assist both business and individual clients, in minimizing their income taxes, and meets with clients regarding their business and financial goals.  She also assists in training staff accountants and interns with computer software and serves as a tax resource individual.
Prior to her current NAWIC board member position as the Recording Secretary, she served as the NAWIC Treasurer for two years, and the Budgeting and Audit Committees for the past three years.
As a CPA, her understanding of business policies, procedures and how they work helps to qualify her for this board position.  She has three and a half years’ experience as a NAWIC board member, and would like to give back to her NAWIC chapter and the community through volunteer work.
She enjoys walking and exercising with her husband, and loves to watch basketball games.  In her  spare time, she loves to read books, magazines and to browse the internet.  She also enjoys traveling to visit friends and family.

Vinetta De La Cruz, Recording Secretary

Vinetta was previously a member of NAWIC through her prior employer. In July 2019, when she started with Bank of the West she joined the Las Vegas Chapter.
She is a Vice President Relationship Manager at Bank of the West. She started her banking career more than 20 years ago in the Las Vegas valley. Vinetta manages and nurtures a large portfolio of commercial banking relationships. As a Relationship Manager, Vinetta handles all aspects of your banking needs. She has an extensive background in commercial lending with an in-depth knowledge of depository services. She enjoys being able to work with businesses of all sizes to provide the right products and services that will allow their businesses to succeed and grow. In the past and present, she has served on 3 local non-profit organizations which include Lutheran Social Services of Nevada, Nevada Partners, Inc., and Future Smiles. Through these organizations she has served on committees that include Governance committee and Finance and Audit committee.
At present, she serves on the Future Smiles board of directors as Secretary and Chairperson of the Governance Committee. She continues to serve on Nevada Partners, Inc. as Director and member of the Finance & Audit Committee. Her experiences from past and present board participation along with her involvement in the business community will provide great qualifications and representation to NAWIC.
In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her husband whether it is local or abroad or riding into a desert trail for a fun off-road adventure. She also has 3 children that she is very proud of!

Heidie Ritchey, Director

Heidi Ritchey is the face of Service Team of Professionals aka STOP Restoration. She handles water damage, fire damage and mold issues in Las Vegas. She works 24/7 for the last 4 years. While wearing many hats for the company Heidi’s primary focus is business development and marketing.
Heidi has been a member of NAWIC since July 2019.
Having been in Real Estate for 13 years and Insurance for 7 years Heidi is knowledgeable about how to handle emergency issues that might arise at your home or business.  In her “free” time she enjoys spending time with her family at home swimming and BBQing. Her love for dogs led her to her 2 rescue pups, Lucky & Chance.  Heidi felt these names were perfect for a couple of Las Vegas dogs.

Michelle Day, Director

Michelle has been a member of NAWIC since February of 2019. As a Director she will attend monthly Board meetings, vote on motions, and discover what truly happens in NAWIC.
She was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA.  She received a degree in Corporate Communications from Penn State in 2004. She moved to Las Vegas in 2007 and in 2010, married my husband, Jason.  She has 2 daughters (Taylor and Sloane) and a dog, Athena.  She has been in the trades for about 15 years, mostly in outside sales.  She sold raw materials (copper, brass, aluminum and stainless steel) for about 13 years.  About a year and a half ago she made the jump into industrial supply sales.
Michelle works for a small family owned company, Industrial Supply Company.  They have 7 locations throughout Utah, Wyoming and Nevada.  She handles all of Las Vegas, Southern Utah and a small part of Arizona and California.
In her spare time she loves to workout, travel and just spend time with friends and family.

Lisa Craig, Director

Mrs. Lisa Craig is the President of Trinity Land Surveying, Inc. (TLS). She was born in Phoenix, Arizona where she grew up with her family. She attended Glendale Community College focusing on business and marketing. After college, she moved to Las Vegas in 1998. Together with her husband of 20 years Mr. Jeffrey Craig, PLS she has raised two sons, Nicholas and Austin.
Over the years she has worked for some prominent general contractors in Las Vegas. She has over 20 years of business management and construction project management experience. Her experience has been an invaluable asset to the opening and continued success of TLS. Since its inception in 2012, Mrs. Craig has been the driving force behind TLS and is responsible for the day to day operations.
TLS is signatory to the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 12 (IUOE) and Mrs. Craig holds memberships with the Nevada Contractors Association (NCA); including the NCA Diversity and Inclusion Board Member, National Association of Woman is Construction (NAWIC) where she sits on the Board of Directors and Membership Committee and also a member of NAMC.  Most recently TLS was award with the NCA Diverse Professional Service Firm of the Year award for 2019. TLS is certified with the National Woman’s Business Council (WBENC) as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) and Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB). In her spare time, she is very active in her church and serves on its Board of Directors.

Lydia Murphy, Director

Lydia has been a member of NAWIC since January of 2019.  She’s been with Leavitt Insurance since 2000, as an Account Executive.  In 2017 she become a co-owner. Lydia specializes in Commercial Insurance, with an emphasis on construction, hospitality and the food industry.
She sits on the board of directors with the Lili Claire Foundation and has sat on the construction campaign for the Las Vegas Veterans Memorial.
She has 4 children and soon to be 8 grand children.   She enjoys reading, hiking, yoga and spending time with my family and friends

Virginia Grant, Director

Virginia has been a member of NAWIC since March of 2018. As a Director she will attend Board meetings and Monthly meetings, supporting the Chapter in any way she can.
She has co-chaired the NEF Design Drafting Competition for NAWIC.
She wants to be able to help change how women are viewed in construction. To help make change for future women in the trades. For several years she has worked in various areas from the office to managing crews. Virginia feels she can bring a different perspective and can benefit the Board in many ways.
